Morning
I finally made some time to work on my Lexia installation. I spent about 12 hours this weekend installing, uninstalling and reinstalling. What a mission. However, at present, I have left it installed with v7.57, which I believe will be enough to diagnose my 2006 C3 1.4HDi.
I did have an engine replacement a few years back, so do I use the old VIN number or the VIN number? (I am currently only aware of 1 VIN but just thought I'd ask)
Please could I request confirmation of my RPO number. (10651??) My mechanic says the key needs to be on, is this correct? (just one click on in other words without the engine idling?)
Here is the main issue, I cannot seem to get the diagnostics to recognise the vehicle and hence I am still unable to get any readings off the vehicle. If I try a manual connection I can add my VIN number and RPO number but then there is an error message in French, which roughly translated means, "There was an error with Diagbox but you can continue using the tool". However when I click on the Lexia tool button nothing happens thereafter.
If I try an automatic detection, Diagbox says it fails at searching for vehicle data "Automatic detection of the vehicle interrupted - connectivity unavailable". If I connect to the internet, it still interrupts at vehicle data searching but it says "server unavailable".
Since closing Diagbox my machine continues popping up with an ACTI-DIAG application error "An internal communication error has occurred".
Her are two links to short videos of what I clicked and how far I get with Diagbox.

HiPlease could I request confirmation of my RPO number. (10651??)
10651 is 6 January 2006
The RPO tool link is here
You use the VIN of the CAR - the BSI that is in the car.I did have an engine replacement a few years back, so do I use the old VIN number or the VIN number? (I am currently only aware of 1 VIN but just thought I'd ask)
If you change an engine the VIN stays the same, if you change the BSI, the VIN changes to the BSI VIN.
VIN is Vehicle identification number

You can't use the internet features with a clone tool.If I connect to the internet, it still interrupts at vehicle data searching but it says "server unavailable".
2006 was a very long time ago. I don't think you even need to go anywhere near that high.I have left it installed with v7.57, which I believe will be enough to diagnose my 2006 C3 1.4HDi.
Its better to have a working lexia than the latest version of lexia/diagbox, particularly when you are dealing with such old models.
Have you tried the base software install on the car, without updates?

Not sure what happened but it seems my first attempt at posting this query has vanished.
I have Diagbox 7.57 installed (finally). I believe it is sufficient to diagnose my 2006 C3 1.4 HDi
I have tried the auto vehicle detection and the manual VIN & RPO entry method. However I still cannot scan the vehicle. I have links to videos showing the process and result of each one that I tried.
Any idea what I might be missing?

I approved your original post and you are right...it vanished! Sorry about that. I even wrote a reply to it before it disaperated. But the system said I cant answer a post that didn't exist!
In your first post you mentioned that you were only turning the ignition to the first click. Is that right? If so you need to turn the ignition on, I.E. the warning lights come on. It also may ask you to turn the ignition off if you change some parameters of some ECU's. This writes those parameters to the ECU but don't forget to turn the ignition back on again if you are continuing your session.
Some versions of LEXIA were finicky about leading zero's in the RPO number but yours has a 1 as the first character if I remember?
I have also found that if LEXIA asks for the VIN, I.E. it fails the auto scan, manually entering the VIN doesn't work. In other words, if LEXIA auto finds the VIN you are most of the way there.
You will always have to enter the RPO number.
There are guys more ua fait with LEXIA than me on the forum and may be more helpful.

Thanks so much Ozvtr.
When receiving notification of your response and then accessing it, I notice that my second post is now amalgamated with my first post, which is visible above along with responses to it. This is just so strange to me. Is this normal for the forum? Not related quite honestly but just wondering if the admin are aware of any current issues with the forum.
Yes, I had more information in my first post which I believe to be related to my primary question. I'm guessing that the first number (with CA at the end) at the bottom of the sticker is the RPO. Does it affect the diagnostics? Or simply stop the tool from functioning? Thank you for confirming my VIN query.
I suspect I may have been on two clicks of the ignition (even though I did say one click). However I will be certain to check this when I try again.
Pity that Lexia does not support manual entry of details. I guess I'm stuck with using the auto function....if I can get it work.

Thank you to C3CAR
The RPO tool link confirms that I am using the correct number. I assume that I do not drop the leading "1" in my case but only the two letters at the end.
I had installed the original base Diagbox software (v7.02) but I couldn't get that to connect to the car either. So then I tried doing a full upgrade, up to 7.82 (that I have with me) but I couldn't get that to work either. So after fighting with the software to uninstall, I settled on 7.57 and still cannot get it to work. As per the videos shared on YouTube, I can open the software, attempt manual and or auto vehicle connection (each with different failures) but can get no further than that.

By the way, is anyone (admin) able to change the title of this post. I think the BOT automatically changed it and my query isn't primarily about the RPO number. I'm trying to figure out how to get Diagbox / Lexia to give me readings of my vehicle. So I need to troubleshoot everything to achieve that purpose.
