If for some reason you need to remove the center console here is the way to do it.

Remove the cover at the front of the console.

Remove the garnish around the auto selector. If you have a manual gearbox you will need to figure out how to get the gator off the gear stick. I think you can pull up on the gear selector knob and remove the knob.

Remove the molding from around the hand brake lever.

Remove the cover over the retaining nut at the back of the console.

Remove the nut.

Pry the edge of the upper console from the lower console.

Lift up the upper console and disconnect the switches and sockets. The front window switches have very small clips on the front and back to retain the electrical plugs. Remove the upper console.

Undo the two torx screws holding the console to the dash board.

Push the whole console forward to lift it over the hand brake lever.

Pull the back of the console up

Push the whole console backwards while lifting up the front to clear the dash board.

Installation is the reverse of removal. It's fairly simple and straight forward, just be careful when getting the console over the hand brake.

For the manual gear selector the procedure is very similar, with the exception of the actual gear stick.

You need to pull off the gear knob from the gear selector shaft to allow the bellows to pass over it.
