The fault stating RH side airbags fired not defined, does that mean the airbag has been set off? I say this as when looking closely I think the door is off as in bent and not closing in line with the car. Maybe an impact from the right hand side and the door has been replaced??? But the side airbag is still there

When the air bags go off, they make a mess of the airbag module that is in the door, you would see its been activated.00James00 wrote:The fault stating RH side airbags fired not defined, does that mean the airbag has been set off? Did you fit the new airbag ECU?

It hasn't came in the post as of yet, but fingers crossed its the solution!! The airbag still look intact so this particular one hasn't been set off but could seat have been replaced with another that has an airbag that's still intact? I'v also ordered some connector spray to try that on connectors under the seats.

Will it be a case of configuring whole BSI and also reprogramming keys if I update. If doing the keys an easy process

Missing Lincs suggested you test the code before doing the BSI update, which can cave you updating the BSI and not being able to do the keys00James00 wrote:Ok I also now have code for keys and also the actual key code. Will test next time I'm out and if all works update BSI

You may not need to change every option in the BSI configuration, but you should check every option. There are different updates from and to so the changes they make may be minor or major depending. The best thing to do is to make a note of the current configuration screens assuming yours a correct00James00 wrote:Will it be a case of configuring whole BSI and also reprogramming keys if I update. Lexia guides you how to do it, step by step so I wouldn't say it was difficult..00James00 wrote: If doing the keys an easy process
Could be.00James00 wrote:The airbag still look intact so this particular one hasn't been set off but could seat have been replaced with another that has an airbag that's still intact?
Could be a crash damaged car and not recorded as a CAT D. Did you do a HPI check on it?00James00 wrote:I say this as when looking closely I think the door is off as in bent and not closing in line with the car. Maybe an impact from the right hand side and the door has been replaced??
It could be a worn hinge that makes it not line up.

Hi, no did not perform hpi check on car, like I said first car and kind of dived in
I did check the code in key programming and it does work so I guess this means it's the original
BSI, I went into injection and into petrol but my injection model is not on there.
I went onto download then into the BSI it goes through a couple procedures then to a modem setup screen then connects
Authenticates but then states your computer has been disconnected from lexia and takes me back to the previous screen
I have attached screen shot

Still have not received the ecu as of yet.
back in the car trying to manually go through and check all the wiring on the driver side of the car, due to the passenger light not illuminating so thinking the fault would be at that side.
Few queries making me think that it's ecu, if there was a problem with the low voltage would the belt pretensioners not show up as being faulty? Would the passenger airbag light not show up and be faulty with those faults along with the passenger pretensioners as it all runs of the same system and if there was low voltage they would all not be functioning correctly?
I know the switch fault is there but the switch actually works fine.
When looking into all the advice about configuring and having went through lexia a million times over to check airbag settings and they seem to be correct.
So when configuring lexia to believe that there are no side airbags or pretensioners etc the faults still remain and do not change. I thought if the car believed that these were not apart of the car it would keep those faults? I'd also like to check the impact sensors for the side airbags but where would these be located? Bit quiet on the forum at the minute so if you guys are busy I'll try keeping an update on the forum

This is because you connected the lexia/diagbox software to the Citroen servers and they detected it was a clone. You probably need to reinstall? if its not working any more00James00 wrote:I did check the code in key programming and it does work so I guess this means it's the original

You should just use the files on the computer that came with lexia to update the BSI and not download anything from Citroen.
Go through the files via lexia and see if there is an update available for you. Never connect to the internet for updates from within lexia/diagbox.

Software is still working, sorry wasn't really aware of updating requirements. Never mind will try it this way. Also received ecu so going to try that today along with the new sensor. Thanks for the reply.
