I have a 2011 Citroen C3 picasso and have bought a towbar for it,
a friend is fitting the towbar next week and i am doing the wiring,
i also have a Lexia/pp2000 unit/lead and software.
My question is: Do i need to use the Lexia to tell the car it now has a towbar fitted, (have heard this)
if so, how? i haven't used the unit or software before, i have had it a few years now.
any help would be appreciated, hints, tips, timesaving shortcuts etc...

regards

Hi

There are at least 3 different types of tow bar socket and there is a quite probably a dedicated wiring kit for the C3 Picasso tow bar.

Your question will depend entirely on how you wire the socket to the car and if official Citroen or at least a Citroen compatible interface is fitted.

You need to know what and how you are fitting the electrics before you know if the ECU/BSI will need programming to enable the new socket.

The electrics say its a "Right connections LED, CFC TRAILER MODULE E27" if that helps.

thanks

Hi

It doesn't mean very much at all.

LED is the technology of the lighting, E27 is a European directive.

I don't know what the CFC bit is, but it doesn't look like a citroen part number.
