Hi all, have a 2007 C3 1.4hdi 16v, having to hand prime from cold start to get it running, will then start while warm, but if left for a while it's back to the primer. It appears the fuel is running back to the tank when stood, so I suspect one of the primer valve's have a fault at one of the end valve bends. Know the main dealers tend to be overpriced, but I have had parts in the past for cars that were quite reasonable from dealership's. So they gave me a quote for £135 (robbers) for the harness as you apparently cannot buy separate parts for it, now with having part number I searched eBay & found a harness for £25 brand new, but as i match the vehicle to the part number it comes back with doesn't fit your car. Anyone else had similar issues or know a fix? Thanks for reading, cheers Steve. P,s part number is 1574T0 & had new fuel filter.

Hi
The 1.4 16v oil burner was discontinued in 2005 because it could not meet the euro 4 compliance.
The chance of a 2007 C3 coming from the factory with a non EURO 4 engine is zero.

Hi Arfur, thanks for the reply. I understand what you're saying, but does that mean then that the dealership has given me a wrong part number? So i now need to determine what the harness number ends in, they seem to end TO,T1,T3 etc. Any idea on where I can find my part number, would it be on the harness anywhere? Thanks for your time to reply, appreciate it pal.

I have no idea what engine you have fitted.Stevie wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 8:08 pm Hi Arfur, thanks for the reply. If it has been changed by a previous owner then Citroen won't know what engine you have fitted.
It won't be possible to use any of the online lookup tools to find the part if you have a different engine fitted than the one DVLA and Citroen know about.
If you really do have the 1.4 Delphi system, I can find the code for the fuel primer system, but if you don't have the delphi system (16v), I can guarantee that it WON'T fit.
You need to identify the actual engine correctly before ordering parts.

The part number for the (1.4 16v Hdi Delphi system used to around 2005) fuel primer harness is 1607147180 (here on eBay).
and looks like this
and here is a part of it on the car

On log book my variant is fc8hz, was told it was 16v, but this leads me to believe it's an 8v. Would this be correct?

Just from this:
I can see it IS NOT the 16v 1.4
8HZ is a DV4TD - 8v 1.4 HDi with 70HP or 68HP and uses a different fuel system to the 16v 1.4

Thanks C3car, I have altered my search for the fuel pipe harness to an 8valve c3, still getting the no match on parts though, starting to do my head in.

There are a couple of different part numbers for the primer pump on the 8v depending on the ORGA/Production date. And the fuel system.
SIEMENS:
ORGA pre-10660 (15 January 2006) is 1574.S9 - eBay link
and after 15 January 2006 - use 1574.R3 - eBay Link (part has 'Filtered bypass')
BOSCH:
EEC 2000 Depollution engine uses: 1574.T1 (filtered bypass)
and the
AntiDepollution engine uses 1574.T0 (filtered bypass)
