Hi. I recently bought a Citroen c3 sx 2006 to learn to drive in but it has a lot of issues, I was wondering if I could get some help
2. I can turn the fog lights on rear and front, but I can’t turn them back off by twisting the stalk backwards. Any suggestions as to what the problem may be and how to fix it?

These are the instructions to switch on and off the front and rear fog lights on a C3
if you follow the instructions and they still don't work properly, it is an expensive fix to replace the COM2000 unit.

The second generation of COM2000 (the unit with the switch stalks on it) were problematic. Your C3 is a second generation car.
Your problem is most likely damaged contacts in the switch.
There is no easy fix. The link above shows how to pull the stalk apart and see. You can replace the stalk (look on ebay) but that involves pulling the COMs apart. You can replace the COMs unit (again Ebay).
You could try a system reset but you will loose the time and radio stations. If you have a sensodrive gearbox you might need to reinitialize that too (if it comes up with a '-' on the dash).
Open and prop up the bonnet. Ensure the windows are up, remove the key and close all the doors don't lock the car. Flip the rear window wiper off the glass. Wait 60 seconds. Remove the positive lead from the battery, wait 60 seconds. Reconnect the battery positive. You guessed it...wait 60 seconds! It doesn't have to be exactly 60 seconds but it needs to be at least 60 seconds. Put the rear wiper back down. Try the lights. You may need to start the car to get the lights to work the first time.

Do the lights switch off when you stop the engine and restart?

I’m hoping it isn’t faulty but the car is only temporary.Arfur Dent wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 2:02 pmIbby547 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 17, 2020 1:50 pm Hi. I recently bought a Citroen c3 sx 2006 to learn to drive in but it has a lot of issues, I was wondering if I could get some help

Because you told us it a 2006 model when you signed-up for your account here.
But that does contradict the model you chose, so its a 50:50 guess

Hmm...just worked on you saying its an 06 model. But Arfur is right, you have put in contradicting information.
There are a number of subtle but significant differences between the Mk1 and Mk2 models, too many to cover here. The quickest way to tell (that I can think of) is if the dash has a number of bars for the engine temperature or just an over temperature light. The models changed in mid 2005, so if yours is a 2006 model it's second generation.
