Hi, I'm new to C3 ownership. I have a 2004 exclusive with the cruise control activated on the steering wheel. Switching it on has no effect. Nothing illuminated on the dash. Does nothing.Seen other posts about cleaning in the contact which i want to try but wonder how the swiych is taken ouy to access the PCB.Is it as simple as prising it off? Thanks

there is no indication on the dash.
A gong sounds on deactivation/activation by sliding the switch on/off.
You can only set and activate cruise control over 44MPH displayed on the speedo by ensuring cruise switch is 'on' and then press the 'set plus' or pause 'II'.
Try that before popping out the switch because the plastic can break.

Cruise controls can be s*d$ to diagnose as they are dependant on so many different systems in the car. A fault on any number of things (something seemingly unrelated like a throttle sensor issue or a clutch pedal switch fault) can prevent the cruise control from activating.
I would strongly suggest you follow C3driver52's advice and get a Lexia tool. It could save you hours in the long run and you've also gained a useful tool which will help should you have any other problems in the future.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

Hi,
I have a question regarding this topic. I have silimar problem but in my case the button is broken. I searched everywhere to find a spare button but I couldn't find any. Apparently the buttons come with the steering wheel which I do not need. Can you please refer me to a correct website selling the on/off switch individually?
Many thanks in advance.

The switch/buttons assembly is available from Citroen as a separate piece.Mina wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 8:50 am Hi,

Yes, while the cruise control switches are listed as a septate piece, the cost is quite high for just some switches, so I opted for the complete steering wheel because the original was getting worn. I picked up a new Citroen C3 steering wheel, complete with switches (4109CQ) on eBayOzvtr wrote: ↑Sun Apr 19, 2020 9:46 pmThe switch/buttons assembly is available from Citroen as a separate piece.Mina wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 8:50 am Hi,
