The socket does look damaged in the picture
OBD2 socket damaged
OBD2 socket damaged
Which could be the reason it doesn't fit.

I have fitted OBD readers to early C3 and they fit, they just don't read any data, but the plug does fit.

You can't beat lexia for its features and ability to get into all the computers, other than just the engine ECU.

The Maxiscan MS309 should fit all the C3s and read all the petrols and the diesels from around 2004, for the diesels from before 2004, its fits but reads nothing :(

Setting the screen resolution for lexia to match your laptop screen resolution.

You may want to do this if some of the lexia screen seems to be off the page.

Shut down any running Lexia or Diagbox

find the file

C:\APPLIC\LEXIA\EXE\ecran.ini

and open it with notepad.exe

edit the lines that contain

-largeur_ecran = yyyy
-hauteur_ecran = yyy

and replace the yyy's with your laptop screen resolution

Save the file, start lexia.

largeur_ecran is display_width and

hauteur_ecran is display_height (in pixels)

(P1161 TPS copy fault on Citroen C3)

Connection to lexia shows up a question mark (?) on the Injection (engine ECU). With the correct VIN and RPO a list is shown of the various ECUs fitted and when the choice is made warnings are given by lexia.

lexia-injection-queston-mark.jpg
This suggests that the Lexia application needs an update to recognise the engine ECU fitted.

Actual ECU is an S2PM-380

Updating old lexia 3.45 to 5.02 by installing Diagbox makes the automatic detection of the ECU work correctly and allows further investigation of the fault with a level of confidence in the system and no warnings about things not being correct.

Later versions are made to work with later year cars. An early one will work for your early car too because Lexia hasn't been updated for years where as Diagbox gets updates for the new models.

The link you have should work as well as all the others running lexia software.

I don't know of any Lexia running on Vista, its a bit of an odd one, Vista. Lexia works on windows XP and Diagbox will work on Window7 32bit. But there are some work-arounds detailed in the previous posts for various OS scenarios.

If you do get it to work with Vista, can you add that info to this topic please.

If you would like help, can you start a new topic on the [urll=lexia-and-diagbox-questions-f44/]Citroen C3 Lexia/Diagbox forum[/urll]. You will need to give details about your operating system and how far you have got with the software. Screen shots can save a lot of typing. Screen shots as pictures can be attached to the forum using the 'browse' and 'add the files' when replying as detailed in this topic.

I suggest you read the previous posts first because they contain most of the information you need along with the documentation that came with the software should be enough to install.

Because everything the vendor sent you wouldn't fit on one disc?

If you look on the discs you may be able to work out why yours is on 2 discs, otherwise the vendor will be able to help you with that in their instructions on how to install your particular version.
