A front indicator was not working on one side only. The initial thought was the bulb had blown.

All 4 indicators use the same lamp and are these PY21W lamps (click here).

The lamp was removed and looked good, the filament was intact and the amber colouring looked as good as new.

Inspection of the black indicator lamp holder showed corrosion.

The corrosion is due to water ingress and there is a topic all about water in the C3 headlights (click here)
Corroded connection on the indicator lamp holder causing the amber lamp to 'no show'

Corrosion that stops the indicators from working in a Citroen C3

Cleaning the corrosion off and revealing some bright metal where the arrow points allowed the lamp to work.

These pens are great for removing surface corrosion (click here).

Great care was taken to refit the plastic headlamp cover correctly at the end.

Great tip C3CAR.

To help prevent further corrosion and help keep water out I use this Contralube 770

I've used it on car electrics, computers, aerials and even satellite dishes. Not many products I'd recommend but this one really does the business.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
