Yes, Yes, you are probably sick of hearing all about the problems I am having with this car. You and me both.
Driving the car Blah, Blah, blah indicators fail to cancel from a left turn Blah, blah. You know how it goes.
Ok, so I found the cancel widget was getting stuck in the "down" position and the inner drive tube was not picking it up to effect the return of the indicator stalk to the off position.
The failure is a combination if tight tolerances and the return spring being pathetically weak. Why only left hand turns? Well the spring is so weak that the weight of the head of the widget causes it to "droop down". Despite the fact that the widget snapped back into the correct position every time I tried it while the COMs was apart, the spring is too weak.
So the answer is to cut about 2mm off the spring to tighten it up.
