A 2003 1.4 petrol with its MIL on and limping along in limp mode came by recently.

Connecting lexia was only slightly helpful until the software was updated to a later version because ECU wasn't recognised
Lexia and OBD diagnostics

Fault detected was Permanent fault Throttle position copy P1161
Throttle Position Sensor Copy Fault P1161 Citroen C3

Swapping the pedal out did allow the fault to clear, but didn't bring a fault on the donor. Swapping the pedals back allowed the code to clear, so it looks like there was a connection problem at the TPS.

Live data from Lexia tool shows the pedal operating, which looks ok, but a replacement (on ebay) are only about £15 to £20, it could be worth just changing it in the near future.
