Post

Hi to you all,... like my topic suggests , new car / new forum !
I'm a great fan of finding forums relating to almost anything I buy or do (well almost ).
I'm just fresh from saying my 'goodbye's' to the BMW X5 owners club, and previous the Shogun club. So I'm now hoping that I'll get a good welcome here too ?
Story is that my wife has been trying to learn to drive the automatic X5 for a few months,....it was just a bit too powerfull and big for her, (although she did impress me with her ability ), but she was so wary of bumping into something and damaging it.
We both decided to look for a nice little 4-door automatic , to call her own,... and we plumped for this lovely C3 XTR sensodrive 1.4 petrol model. Its a 2006 with only 36k on the clock and is in mint condition. She loves it !!
I have a few reservations about how the gears change, but I'm getting used to it today. My wife drove it about 70 miles today and never blinked an eye, only problem she had when we got home was the reversing into our parking space which is kinda on a small hill. (kept rolling forward ) All in all I'm fairly impressed with the spirit of this little nipper,..(gave me 49 mpg today) and is really quite comfy inside once you get used to the smaller cabin. Kids love the huge double sun-roofs,....but I cant get the front one to open ! Here's my first question then,...how the hell do you work it ?. I tried turning the dial, pushing the dial up then turning,..but all I could hear was a small click like as if it was locking itself down ?? Mind you, it has sat for about 6 weeks so maybe got a bit stuck, and if it did open then wouldn't shut, well it would be a pond inside with the rain we had today !!.
Looking forward to making new mates on here and hope to find out more about this great little car,

Jonny

Hi Jonny, welcome to the forum!

Thanks for your introduction and appraisal of the C3 XTR.

There is a post here about the XTR sunroof here, with Hanz Zarkov giving some advice a bit further down the page

Thanks for the link bud,... tried again today after phoning Citroen dealer but to no avail.
Not so bad though as I got a transferable Citroen warranty with the car and the Citroen guy said it would cover the sunroof if it was a mechanical breakdown.
