Had my C3 for 4 months now and in that time I’ve done a couple of bits.

fuel injectors
Spark plugs
Oil change
Air filter change

And today... both front brake disks and pads.

I went to Halfords auto centre because brakes were squeaking quite severely and the weathers crappy so was going to let them do it... they wanted £240 to change!!

Decided to buy myself a torx set for £15 and do myself.

Components: 2 disks and pads £36 from ecp.

Changed it in just over an hour. Utterly painless. And £200 saved.

Only advice, get a nice long breaker bar to save any sore hands on the t55 bolts for the calliper holder. I didn’t even hesitate, breaker bar on from the get go ! (Watched many vids of people struggling them off haha)

Well done! DIY is always something to have in mind. Some pics next time would be better.

Will bear this in mind. All my diy is done on a busy residential street unfortunately so sometimes I’m just trying to bash it out as quickly as possible.

I’d like to post some guides though to help others
