Hi, I’m an almost new owner as although I have just got my own 07 C3 56K my wife has had two new C3’s and two DS3’s but mine is a little older than we have had before.
I have not had it long but already had the screen washer drip on the No.4 injector issue! Sealed the washer nozzles now so hope I shouldn’t have that again.
Had it serviced, cam belt changed, water pump changed, but not all plain sailing as previous owner had as I found out put wrong spring on suspension and had not done the rear brake correctly so you could say it’s been a baptism of fire!
Was a reasonable price as it’s otherwise in good condition and had only tootled around at about 6K a year and apparently from service record book had a service every two years.
Already found this forum helpful as found out garage put blue coolant in instead or red on service so need to get that sorted.
Almost new C3 owner

Well seems garage may have put correct blue coolant in after all as it’s probably the long life coolant which is Ok apparently and colour of coolant is nothing to go on. Had a look at my wife’s DS3 and they now have a material cover over the injectors to stop them getting dropped on....least they have learnt from the C3!

Well thought I would update my woes on my (new to me C3). After having the injector replaced due to a leaking washer jet (now sorted
) I again had the environmental error again. Back into the garage it went, they checked everything, misfire came back, swapped coil pack with a known good one, misfire went....then came back so back to basics. Tracing the wiring back led to the discovery of water I ingress in the engine ECU socket (another washer issue but explains why that side had been glued and the covering of the cables to the ECU plug had unraveled). ECU pins were corroded so off it went to a specialist to see if it could be rescued....no!
. Ah well so now what to do, well no option really it now wouldn’t run with the existing ECU and already sunk money into it (new tyres, service, cam belt etc before these issues reared their head)...so it’s a new ECU and fingers crossed time. They have sent key and imobiliser ECU to them so it can all be coded together, let’s see what next week brings, shame as a nice low mileage, good condition car....but as I have found out to my expense a few expensive issues.

Well just an update, new ECU done installed and all back up and running, fingers crossed it should all be OK now, thanks to all on the forum who have answered my questions. Hope it’s only the cosmetic things to sort now.
