Happy New Year all,Major problem here guys, hope someone can help.Just bought 2005 C3 SX 1.4 and stupidly tried fitting Alpine UTE72BT into it as I thought it would be the same install as my previous Picasso 1.6.I just used the iso lead that came with the Alpine and swapped the red/yellow connectors and connected it to the original Citroen connectors.Big Mistake, car now wont start and I have the flashing battery symbol and am stuck in Economy Mode. The car turns over but wont start, its as if the immobiliser is on.When I switch ignition on, the side lights come on and the flashing battery symbol and eco made active displayed on dash.No aircon, radio or clock display working.Removed new Alpine and installed original cd as factory install.Fitted brand new battery, tried the bsi reset but still no joy.Been off the road for a week now.

Oops, I would suggest checking all the fuses in the BSI (cabin) and BSM (engine bay).DracUK wrote:Happy New Year all,Major problem here guys, hope someone can help.Just bought 2005 C3 SX 1.4 and stupidly tried fitting Alpine UTE72BT into it as I thought it would be the same install as my previous Picasso 1.6.I just used the iso lead that came with the Alpine and swapped the red/yellow connectors and connected it to the original Citroen connectors.Big Mistake, car now wont start and I have the flashing battery symbol and am stuck in Economy Mode.

A bad wiring job could have blown a fuse that inhibits starting.
