Hello all my in car radio Clarion PU-2417A ( E ) with a very good Alphine CDE 9850Ri all stemmed good it played well radio and CD all I dependant of the ignition key etc. then the Alphine starting turning on and off intermittently each time it did you could hear a click in the under Dashboad fuse box.
Then if I turned the ignition key one notch it would not turn off and as usual played perfectly with no problem.
Then to my dismay with radio manually turned off also ignition you could still hear the fuse box click intermittent .
On leaving the car all switched off not locking vehicle it would self lock and you would be unable to open it via key fob you had to use the key to open the Car.
Leaving all this way overnight car locked radio manually switched off in morning key fob again would not open car key was required to do this.but car started battery was not flat etc.
Can anyone at their convienence please assist, direct, or suggest a answer to this problem or where the related issue my lie.

Hi Lky50, the bit I quoted is very common on the early C3 model when the aftermarket radio is not installed correctly.

Particularly the ISO power wiring on the C3 doesn't match the ISO standard, even though the plugs fit.

You can swap wires on pins 4 and 7 of the power ISO over for a quick fix, but you may need to run a new, fused 12v to the BSI for extra power.

Hello again I did as advised changes two connections etc etc and all good with Radio it's flying. Now the display unit up on the dash shows no Date it has gone the clock is on time when you start car but stays on that time till you start car again it then shows correct time again but stays at this. At the shown time.if door is open it s tolls the door open warning but when you close the door the scrolling stops at whatever position it was at when you closed eg ( or open or ft door open ) stays at this till you switch car off again and it resets to blank.

Advise me direction now to take to possibly fix above issue etc and again I thank you in anticipation off sane Thanks J

It sounds like you have made a hash of the wiring. I would remove all the extra sound equipment and revert all the wiring back to factory. This will then prove or disprove my statement about hashing up the wiring.

From this point you can see what then needs to be done and determine if the BSI is faulty or its all down to the changes you made.

You never did say how you wired up all the extra kit, so on one would ever know what you have done.
