I am the recent owner of a 2011 Citroen C3 Connexion and I love it.

However, I have come from a car that had a fantastic sound system in it and would love to be able to upgrade the sound in the C3 so it was more powerful and bassy.

Would anyone be able to give me advice on how to do this?

Thanks :)

You can get more bass by adding a a Sub in the boot, more power comes from a more powerful head unit (some options here)

There are lots of options, depending on your budget and how much (if any) space you can afford to loose in the boot :o

Just replacing the existing speakers with better ones may do the job and you can find ones that will fit the existing holes.

All of the jobs will require a degree of wiring and removing of trim or the existing head unit.

There are kits of wiring available to make things easier if you are adding extra amps/subs etc.

Hi,
Thats great thanks! It puts me in the right direction as to what I want to do to the car.

My budget would be around £80-£100, so i'll have a look around and see what is out there.

Thanks again!

In that price bracket, I suggest upgrading the front speakers. This will give an immediate benefit, with the option (if you fit higher power as well as better quality), to be able to handle a higher power head unit or amp, should you fit one later.

i drive a 2015 Puretech 68 collection 1.0

i have music trough my parrot MKI 9200 4x20 w class D amp and occaisionally through the standard radio cd (rd4 i believe )

i want to know what brand speakers are installed and used
i want a good sound , not that it is bad now , but i am partially hifi snob , using a denon / balzars img 10mk2 class a converted amp and good hepta speakers

i don't wanna instal a soundsystem that costs way over 500 euro , because winter tyres and wheels are planned and that cost money too
in due tine i might swap the standard radio for one with 7 inch screen but that currently costs around the 600 mark and above so for now i might think on a amp of 4 x 200 watt

Hi Boofle

You want to know what you have in your car? You could take a look :) . There is often information printed on the speaker and this can lead to a manufacturer and then the specifications.

Some manufacturers of speakers for car publish fitting information on their sites based on model and year. You could have a look at a number of manufacturers sites, find some that fit your 2015 Puretech 68 collection 1.0 and read up on the specs?

found out that with loudness and genre pop-rock on the radio it sounds way better
if you press the sound key you can scroll through several modes like loudness en genre (navigating with Arrow down key and Arrow to the right)

with standard radio rd4
