Touchscreen flashing off and on

So love my 67 plate C3 however just recently the touchscreen as started to restart itself numerous time’s whilst driving every few minutes or so. Once it has done this a few times a screen comes on to say software update will start shortly and nothing can be done with the screen. Radio won’t even turn off when engine off. Have to wait for it to restart again. I have just done a system update thinking that was the problem and nothing changed. Please tell me someone else has had this issue and fixed it!!!!

As this is under warranty, I would suggest you get it into an agent. If the screen had been working properly for a couple of years, I doubt if it is a software problem. How did you do an update? As far as I now it can only be done via a usb stick, there is no direct download possible. However, I suspect that an agent will attempt to do an update as a first easy move, and I suspect it may well fail.

I did the update via usb as I know that’s the only way to do it. Was hoping someone had the same issue and knew what the problem was!

Hi

You tried to update the firmware with a usb.

The update failed and now it doesn't work properly.

You won't have the tools to repair this. Citroen would replace the whole unit.

The problem was happening before I did the update

The update did not cause, and probably will not solve the problem. It is most likely a problem with the screen and may need replacing. If less than 3 years old a new screen should be covered by warranty.

Have you updated your IPhones latest software recently. Apple updates to OS 13.3 has caused lots of problems for Citroen Radio.
I had the exact same problem after updating my Iphone, if you go on line you will see lots of people had the same problem.
What I had to do was, remove my phone from Bluetooth on my car then reinstate it, the other thing you can try is a quick switch on of for your IPhone, after I carried out both it stop the problem.
