Hi All,
a few years back, thanks to the help from this forum, I managed to install an underseat subwoofer in my 2005 C3. All was fine until suddenly, it has stopped working. I have been having some battery trouble, but battery is now fully recharged and working fine. The subwoofer seems to power on when the key is turned in the ignition, when the radio comes on, but after a flash of power, it goes dead.
I've checked wires etc, all intact. Any ideas? Is there a fuse that could have gone? does that happen when a fuse goes - it flashes on then goes off? where would a fuse be? At the mo, the power line is connected from the sub to a screw on the fuse box - which is how I was advised to do it (as has been fine for few years)
Thanks
Sam
Subwoofer keeps turning off

Hello
No, that is not how a fuse works. When the fuse blows the circuit is dead until the fuse is replaced.
You fitted the sub, where did you put the fuse for it. The C3 doesn't have a sub fuse, so you added a fuse when you ran power to the sub.
Yes, the BSM 12v supply, should be fused if you spur from it.samuelodog wrote: ↑Mon Dec 14, 2020 10:15 am At the mo, the power line is connected from the sub to a screw on the fuse box - which is how I was advised to do it (as has been fine for few years)
From what you say, the battery problems you have had are responsible for damaging the under seat sub amp and now you need to replace the whole thing under the seat.
