Hi guys,
Just wondering if anyone can help me with the cheapest & easiest way to get bluetooth in my car please? I want to play music off my phone. I have already purchased a bluetooth FM transmitter but the static is doing my head in!!
I know if I change the stereo, I won't be able to control the display with the time etc on. Ideally I want to avoid this. Currently I dont really use the control stick for skipping tracks etc but probably will once I can connect my phone to the stereo.
Appreciate any help/advice! Thank you :D

Hi

If you have a 2002 model then changing the stereo won't affect the display

If you have a 2006 model, you will have the display problems you mentioned.

Your model is on the edge of 2005/2006 and could be either.

I have an FM transmitter and don't get any static.

You need to tune to FM transmitter to an empty (non transmission) frequency.

Then tune your car stereo to the same frequency, maybe manually step it up or down half a click for best reception. Then save that frequency in with a long press on a number button of the stereo.

FM transmitter is definitely the cheapest route to BT.

You could even try a different FM transmitter if you are sure it's all setup right and it still gives static.
