Hi mikenelson60
The originals unit does not get hot, but its also broken, maybe there is a problem with a speaker or speaker wire?
What went wrong with the original unit?
You could try disconnecting the speakers - if you can disconnect the plug for the speakers (it may not be possible to remove speakers, but keep power connected)?
The copper plate probably carries the amplifier chips. So check you have not damaged the speaker wires while removing or refitting the stereo.the problem is the large copper on the left off unit is getting very hot and quick the original unit dose not is this heat correct or is there a fault with unit photo of copper plate included

You could ask the seller how the stereo vin coding was bypassed or complain that it gets very hot while the original one doesn't.radio and has sound from new unit the only problem is extreme heat don't know how seller did the vin codeing for sale
If your replacement one is not new, then it may be faulty?
