I have just fitted a new Radio\CD Clarion CZ202ER, It works fine but I would like to connect the remote stalk for Volume/Mute to it via a 3.5mm Stereo Jack Socket as marked on the new unit? Please can you help? Also, is it ok to cross over the pins 4 and 7 to enable the Radio/CD to switch off when Ignition Key removed. Thank you.

Hi Robbie585
You will need an adaptor that fits the C3 and the radio you have, something like this thing (click here).Robbie585 wrote:I have just fitted a new Radio\CD Clarion CZ202ER, It works fine but I would like to connect the remote stalk for Volume/Mute to it via a 3.5mm Stereo Jack Socket as marked on the new unit? It works on an older model, the 2002 to 2005 but there are not good reports of it working on a 2006-2009 car. I would be interested to hear it being done and if it works. I don't see why it wouldn't work, just find the equivalent 4 and 7 on the new style connector you have on the later model car and you are good to go (but I don't have one to test this theory on).Robbie585 wrote:Also, is it ok to cross over the pins 4 and 7 to enable the Radio/CD to switch off when Ignition Key removed. Hi Robbie585
If you fit an adaptor like the one C3driver52 has linked to above it should sort out switching the radio on/off with the ignition for you.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried
