Hi Jon, I would say the radio is busted and not the car. Its often not worth the time to repair the standard head units and a suitable adaptor or bit of wire swapping (4 and 7 on the power iso plug) and a new head unit is often the way forward.Lky50 wrote:Can anyone direct on the following radio Issue on My 2003 C3 1200cc.The radio when i rurn it on plays ok for about 20 seconds the cuts put even though still switched on but no sound and showing the Mgz but no sound or station ID when i turn it off and back on again the same thing happens over and over again..It is not blowing fuses or anything like that just continues sound cut out and station ID loss Etc if anyone could direct me to what the nature of this issue could be or possibilites re same.I again Thank tou in Advance of any Assistance.

But if you have steering wheel controls for the radio, the cost rises for extra interfaces

Further update on Radio if someone mayb now can direct me the origional problem is still the same as above in out on Mgz frequency wont hold stations of & on need to re power again n again but all is ok working perfectly on Khz Frequency coming on when car is switched on holding playing stations playing constantly holding stations can chance all stations from steering etc so is it an Aerial issue as one frequency being perfect while all FM out n in off and on.

Yes.Lky50 wrote: is it an Aerial issue as one frequency being perfect while all FM out n in off and on.
The aerial is for FM.
If you have a poor aerial connection or (if your car has one) the aerial amplifier power connection disconnected you will get poor FM but AM will be unaffected.
