Hi!

I just got my second C3 yesterday, gone from a 52 to an 11, and I have to say I am missing a few things from my lovely 52!

My question is, it's a connexion so has all the sat nav/bluetooth fandangly stuff, but I can't play music through bluetooth via my phone, only via aux. Is there an upgrade or anything available that anyone knows of for me to be able to do this via the stereo/bluetooth?

I have other questions but not about Audio :P

Is you phone an iPhone by any chance?

Try another non apple bluetooth phone that you know works with BT head units on your car, then you can be sure if its the phone or the head unit that has the problem.

No, I have a Galaxy S5.

It plays in my partners car via bluetooth, I just don't think the stereo is set up to play music via my phone, only through Aux + Cable, which I guess is what I was really trying to ask! lol

I wasn't sure if that was the case or not.

Bluetooth for phone and Bluetooth audio are too separate things, just because a radio does one doesn't mean that it will do the other. On most systems that do both you have to make a separate link for the phone side and the audio, I do with my Pioneer radio.

I can't add any specifics about your car, perhaps have a look online for a user manual download for the audio system? Even if your current system doesn't support what you want, there will be a way around it, if Citroen don't make a kit there will be an after-market way. I know that Parrot make such systems, perhaps put your vehicle details into the product finder on their website? Alternatively go and see a specialist car audio installer, they will have come across the same question many times.
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

Thank you, yes tonight I will suss out the model/make of the stereo (although I believe it's the original), read all the manuals etc. I know my old car didn't have the two connected, but my partners does, just wondered about mine!

I'll look into it, thanks again.

If you have the eMyWay unit (with the blutetooth logo on the front) like this one:
eMyWay citroen bluetooth radio and sat anv
eMyWay citroen bluetooth radio and sat anv

The manual seems to suggest it should be possible to set your phone (S5) to act as streaming source over bluetooth to the eMyWay.
from the Citroen Manual wrote:AUDIO STREAMING

Streaming allows audio files on your telephone to be played via the vehicle's speakers.

Connect the telephone: see "USING THE TELEPHONE".

Select "Audio" or "All" profile. If play does not start automatically, it may be necessary to start the audio playback from the Telephone.

Control is from the peripheral device or by using the audio system buttons. Once connected in streaming mode, the telephone is considered to be a media source.

It is recommended that you activate "Repeat" on the Blue tooth peripheral

You need to set which option is required when pairing your phone.

from the Citroen Manual wrote: USING THE TELEPHONE

The system offers to connect the telephone: in "Hands-free mode" (telephone only), in "Audio" mode (streaming: playing music files on the telephone), or "All" (for selection of both modes). Select "OK" and confirm
