Hello,

Ever since I installed an aftermarket radio in my C3 (2003), I have been having an issue with FM radio signal. Specifically, when I am in town all is good, but once I am further away, I get lots of static and it gets worse.

From what I was told, there are two kinds of antennas, active and passive. Where the active has some sort of FM booster in it, but it needs constant 12V and only works with stock radio unit. Once you go aftermarket, you need some sort of adapter which provides said 12V for it to work. And presumably, my C3 has the active antenna (stock one). Will said adapter work, or was I made a fool of and a solution lies elsewhere?

Thank you for your time

The Active aerial does show up on some diagrams for the C3. Its just driven by one of the 12v lines that also runs to the stereo.

If you have disconnected one of the wires from the standard install and not reconnected it, this may be your problem?
