Here is a weird one! Our 19 reg C3 Flair is suitable for use with Android Auto and Mirror Link (although my phone doesn't support Mirror Link). When I got in the car with the phone connected the phone would beep, then when the car started, Android Auto would start automatically and Google Maps would act as a satnav on the screen.

We went on a touring holiday to Germany a couple of weeks ago. All was fine with the system for the first day, but half way through day 2 the screen suddenly went black whilst driving. Nothing would restart the system. The phone was OK, and we navigated for several days just using the phone screen with the phone still connected via USB to keep it charged. No noised from the phone when starting up.

Then came the really odd bit. On the last but one day, whilst driving along, the screen rebooted, and suddenly all was working normally again. We had done absolutely nothing to make this happen. It has been OK since.

So my queries are 1) Has anyone else had this happen? and 2) Has anyone any idea why this might have happened. (I think in both cases I doubt if anyone will be able to contribute)

This is probably going to be true, but it's out there now. If anyone searches for that problem, they could well end up here.

One of those odd intermittent computer faults that sorts itself out eventually after a reboot :)

I have a 2017 Flair Pure Tech 110 with inbuilt NAV but I also like using WAZE through Android Auto (Sometimes having both running at the same time). The link to Android Auto is a bit random and seems linked to the cable being used even to the extent to which way I put the cable into my Galaxy S8. Try another cable?

Yes, try another cable.
A genuine samsung one (not a fake) would be a good choice.

You can update your car info here, now you have a new C3 :D
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

I should have posted after my last post in June. I found a genuine Samsung cable, and the navigation has been OK most of the time; occasionally there is an issue, but it is resolved by pulling the usb at the car end and refitting.
