Okay so I bought a C3 Pluriel (2006) which had its stock radio in it, I want to replace it but i'm having trouble.

I went to halfords and bought the harness adapter (PC2-86-4) and connected it up (red wire to the 12v Cig socket) and nothing turns on.

I know it's nothing wrong with the radio as it's been taken out of my Peugeot 206.

I have replaced a radio on a standard facelift C3 before (also 2006) and that wasn't this awkward.

can anyone help?

Standard procedure is to just swap the wires over on pins 4 and 7 of the ISO plug for power. This brings the radio back under computer control for power and keeps the radio memory powered up for memory functions.

You may well find the yellow and red wires with extra plugs are actually 4 and 7, but its worth double checking.

I solved my problem finally, I had to connect one wire to 12v switched (either cig lighter or ignition barrel) and the other wire connected into my fuse box.

Can you tell me if you managed to maintain the connection to the central electronic dash that gives time , date, temp etc as the audio specialist I went to said this would be impossible as the current radio is used as the control to set the information. Dies this mean I'm going to be left with a redundant screen showing no info?
