Hi, I am probably the least tech savvy person on this sight so please bare with.
Just replaced my old car after 14 yrs! I know nothing about audio connection. Tried to put iPod mini on using the usb on the charger. Screen gives no option for usb (comes on screen but is dark and not available to click on, unlike the radio option which is lit up)
Is this because the device is not compatible as it's an old one?
I do hope someone understands this question.... :)
TIA, Kate

Hi Kate,

I would say you are right, an iPod mini may well be too old. But you can try another lead to be sure that the USB lead is not bad. Then as a last case you can use the audio jack that plugs into the headphone socket on the ipod (it's not ideal, but it may just be suitable).

The C3 manual only mentions 'ipod' in a loose term and doesn't list which version are compatible and which are not :x

Thank you so much, good to know I didn't write something that couldn't be deciphered. Will try my daughter's device asap. I do miss a CD player tho, 🤣
Need to move with the times,
Just hope it's me and not the screen that's not playing ball!
Thanks again
