Hello all,
This is my first Citroen and a new member to this forum.
I have successfully connected (Bluetooth) my mobile phone to the car radio (my car is a 2012 register C3 Airdream.
The problem is that I cannot hear any directions for Google Maps either over the car's speakers of even from the mobile phone.
If I turn off bluetooth on my mobile phone voice directions can be heard over the phone (but of course I then do not have my phone connected to the radio.
I have tried every setting I can find, read the handbook, but still no success. Does anyone have an answer to this please?
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
Ray.

Hello Ray100
I can't give you an immediate solution but I can point you to where I think your problem lies.
Bluetooth has two separate parts. One part is Bluetooth for phone, hands-free calling etc; the other is Bluetooth audio, for listening to music from your phone or other Bluethooth device through another device.
I suspect that the audio from Google maps uses the latter, Bluetooth audio.
Not all devices support both, so the first area to check is that your radio can accept Bluetooth audio.
If it does, you also need to enable Bluetooth audio, possible on your phone and radio (assuming it can).
Most newish phones support both options, if you can connect your phone to Bluetooth earphones or a Bluetooth speaker then it support Bluetooth audio. It's most likely the car end that you need to investigate.

If at first you don't succeed, destroy all the evidence and pretend you never tried

Thank you so much for this reply. You seem to have narrowed it down and this will give me area to focus on. If I succeed in fixing the issue I will post here.
In the meantime your reply is very much appreciated indeed.

Hi I have manged to get this connected and working.
One drawback I found is that I cannot have the radio playing, google maps and telephone connected all at the same time but this is no real issue to me.
However, I cannot delete my old phone, I have used the radio buttons and selected the phone to remove and pressed the correct button but it does not present me with an option to delete or not and of course does not delete the phone.
Do you think by removing the radio fuse and resetting the radio this may help? and if so would you know where the radio fuse is located.
Thank you to anyone who is willing to help me.
