Hi everyone
Sorry for any mistakes in my post I'm completely new to forums and new to my c3 as it's my first car and only passed 2 weeks ago.
Well I brought my c3 and the cd player didn't work and the radio was awful for signal where I live and travel too so I brought a new cd player and got a well known highstreet retailer specialising in car, bikes ect to fit it for me ever since I can't unlock my car via central locking button but can always lock it. Im having to use the key to open my drivers side door then open it and it unlocks all the other doors. I'v read there is a wiring issue with the clarion one but want to clarify this before I go tampering with something I know nothing about.
Oh and I changed both batteries when I first got the car two weeks ago as one was flat so I changed the other as well and all has been fine until now. Any help is appreciated.
Thank you in advance

Try removing the radio completely, just use the correct removal tool (should come with the radio), unclip the connectors from the back of the radio and pull the aerial one out. Put the radio somewhere safe and see how the locking goes over the next few days (no sounds

If the locking sorts itself out, take the car back to halfords or wherever it got broken and ask them to fix their mistake for no extra charge.

Sorry but what do you mean by "no sounds"?
Was planning on going there tomorrow anyway but have been told that they don't like to admit fault or fix something for free.
I'll take it further and make a complaint anyway but would like it sorted asap as I have 2 young children that I like to get into the car first (holding my 7 month old in car seat, 3 year old by hand) as I live on a busy road as opposed to putting my sons car seat on kerb and opening my door then walk round car to put kids in.
Now to sound dumb but how do I take it out as I have no idea how to remove it. Is there a step by step guide or anything I could watch maybe???

You won't be able to play any music because you would have removed the radio from the car

You may be better off taking it back to the people who put it in and get them to sort it out if you explain the problem you had since they fitted it.
Removing it depends on the make and model (of the radio) and the correct tool for that model (it should have been supplied with the radio). It would be easier to ask the people who put it in to take it out if finding the tool is going to be a challenge

Just a little update but the company that fitted my cd player cancelled my appointment today so I'm popping down unannounced tomorrow....but iv now noticed my car says eco mod on my dash and one I enter and exit my car even after locking it my battery light flashes for around 5 mins. There's also a to click sound then what sounds a but like a draining noise almost then another click like noise. This is happening every few minutes while I just sat in my car. Are they related? Or is this something else I need to post about?

So he spent about 40mins having a look and re checking the radio fitting with no joy. He can't see anything wrong with the fitting or why my car would be doing this.
I changed the battery in my key a few days before would this have caused this to happen and is there anything I should have done after changing the battery in my key?
