I hope this is the right place in the forum for this question.

I have had the C3 for 2yrs, during that time the "My Citroen App" was connected to the car by Bluetooth (audio) and USB (everything else) and worked fine. It recorded the start and stop locations, distance, MPG and calculated the cost. All was well... The suddenly it stopped recording the Location.

I raised a case No 1
they told me to remove/reinstall & clear all the data for a fresh start --- did not work

I raised a case No 2
Told me it would never have worked as the car does not have GPS - I argued - they still closed the case

I raised a case No 3
Sent them all the details again - they said I needed a touch screen update and it would fix it. It did not

I raised a case No 4
This time they said I needed to wait for the new release of the APP - Closed the case

New APP Released - Still did not work
I raised a case No 5
Asked me to remove the APP and reinstall "de ja vue" - Closed the case - Did not work

I raised a case No 6
Sent the the data - return to the "car does not have GPS it cannot work" and when reminding them it used to they told me to send them a screen shot of it working. HOW? without a time machine how can I prove that the APP used to work?

So the question, eventually, is anyone with a C3 (68 plate) Flair (no inbuilt satnav) able to post a screenshot of the journey tab from the app with real locations? I understand you may wish to redact some of the info on the screen.

Thank you

Hi

You never mentioned which phone you have.

Obviously if the car doesn't have a GPS the tracks are generated from the phone GPS.

It sounds like a phone issue you have and not a Citroen issue.

If it's android then check for location permissions of the app.

I don't think you are going to get very far with Citroen when it comes to an outsourced app, as you have already found :)

If it's not android, you need to contact the people that can help with your phone and the apps access to fine location information from the phone.

Thank you, it is a Samsung S20, Android phone. The location permission is set to use location when running. I thought it used to say always but that option is no longer available for the App.

It is thier logic that annoys me the most asking me to do a screen shot to prove it used to work is flawed at all levels.
