It could be either or neither. All depending on how outdated yours is and what the update contains. Some updates are quick some take ages. That's why you need to leave the engine running before you start because you can't start the engine part way through.
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

Ok, thanks. I didn't know they had incremental updates already. Last time I was involved they would always flash the entire software.

Hi

Top of the page of the forum (desktop) or burger menu top left (on mobile), choose - 'Map Update'

The link will take you to (currently) 'My Citroen'.

Get the app and you can get information about the updates and you may even be able to perform them via the phone.

There is also the citroen link to Update my Citroen navigation system which can also provide some download files.

I'll second that; download the Citroen Update app for Mac or Windows.
It has made the update process quite easy. No more hassle unzipping and copying files manually.

With the update software you just enter your VIN and the correct file is downloaded. Then the USB stick is formatted and the files unpacked and copied to it.
It's even possible to quit the app after the download - I had no USB stick at hand.
When I reopened it later, it asked if I wanted to continue the process.

Hi, I have the same problem. Citroen c3 2017 with nav system. Only CarPlay and MirrorLink and no Android auto.

Downloaded My Citroen app, and it said me that there are two updates - touchscreen and maps. Downloaded it and write to the USB flash via app on windows. Inserted in car USB and updated. But
still no android auto. Maybe I should to update something else? I talked to Citroen service center and they told me that I have to come for system update for 150eur. Could it be done by myself for free without service center?
Current firmware 27.08.87.32_nac-r1
Thanks.
