Just wondering if anyone else has witnessed the following

I've just had a JVC stereo fitted to replace the factory fitted. It was installed using the PC2-36-4 lead.

My stereo is now controlled by... my central locking key fob!

I unlock my car and my stereo turns on, I lock it and it turns off!!

The permanent and ignition have been swapped over!

It's novel if nothing else!!

Oh, my first thought would be that the wrong permanent and ignition had been swapped over. Is actually wire/pin 4 and wire/pin 7 on the ISO A plug.

I would double check that 4 and 7 are swapped and not any other combination by mistake.

Like pin 6 with pin 4 which could give a similar sort of thing that you describe :)

It was fitted by a professional (as I got confused so made someone else do it and he is family so it didn't cost me haha) who checked everything and even he had never seen it happen before!

It has no other effect on the car so he said unless I am concerned it will be fine!
