Ok - bought some bullet connectors.
I also have a crimping tool
Sorry to repeat the question, but.... If I put a bullet on one end of my remote wire, and connect it to the bullet that's going into the radio -
what do I do with the other bullet, i.e. the one that otherwise would attach to the bullet going into the radio.
Does that make sense?
i.e. there are three wire ends with bullets, they cant all connect up! So if I connect the remote wire to one of these bullets, what do I do with the spare one? Or should I just do the jamming the wire in the middle of the other two as discussed above?
Sorry - its these little details that are confusing.!

You need to crimp a male bullet onto your remote lead. This will go into the female bullet connector on the side of the radio harness that connects to the radio.
The 'extra' wire with a tag on needs taping up to keep it out of harms way, as does the 'other' bullet connector that you won't be using. I find the easiest thing to do is tape around the harness with PVC electrical tape or self stick cloth electrical tape. It not only looks neater to have 'loose' wire tidy, it also keeps them from getting trapped when you push the radio home into the dash.

Twist 2 wires together and add a bullet, then add a female bullet to the third wire.samuelodog wrote:i.e. there are three wire ends with bullets, they cant all connect up!
All 3 wires are joined in a T configuration.

Thanks guys,
You both say different things though.

Ok- I can do that, and then tidy up the loose wires.
But Arfur says:

Which two wires do I twist together? The half going into the stereo and my remote wire?, and then connect these 2 (both joined by one bullet) into the 'spare' other half going off somewhere inside the car's innards? This would mean removing a bullet (as every wire has a bullet except my remote wire) so that I could fix the two wires together, then adding a bullet onto the both of them? Should I just do the first one? Would that make any problems?
Thanks

Ah - I may have got it.
See pic attached:
The three bits I'm talking about are:
1 - the blue tag that says 'system remote control',
and attached to this, a blue/white wire ending in a bullet connector,
and the other side of this wire, also with a bullet connector but - but the two are not attached.
I think under the blue tab - there is a stripped wire.
So should I fix a bullet connector to this stripped wire - attach another bullet to my remote wire - and connect them, and THEN - connect the other two bullets together? Is this the right thing to do?!!
MANY THANKS!

Any 2 of the 3 will do.samuelodog wrote:Which two wires do I twist together?
Did you realise that when you electrically join two or more wires together (eg by crimping or soldering) they become one wire?

But is my last suggestion the correct one? The one with the pic?

So long as your remote wire connects to the remote wire coming from the radio that's all the matters. As there is already a bullet connect on the wire I don't see the point in putting another on the bare wire (under the paper tab). The other end of the blue/white wire which disappears into the loom isn't going to do anything, the C3 has no corresponding wire in its electrics so again, I can't see any point in connecting it.
Saying all that, if you'd feel happier putting another bullet connector on the bare wire and plugging the two existing bullets together it won't do any harm.

I am not so sure this is correct? Some (maybe all?) use this to power the aerial amplifier on 2002 cars? Its shown connected in the Haynes diagram as wire 8454A.Missing Lincs wrote:the C3 has no corresponding wire in its electrics so again, I can't see any point in connecting it
