Hi
Connect it so red goes to yellow and yellow goes to red.
Red and Yellow on the C3 don't work the same as many of the other cars and a quick fix is to swap the ACC and BATT wires over. Its not ideal, but it will work.
Long red wire is usually the accessories, but with the C3 models being transposed, swap yellow with red on the bullet and you will (may) have a long red lead that will go to the car battery on one end and be connected to a yellow wire at the other end.

Yes,
getting the yellow and red the wrong way round won't damage anything, you just get some strange behaviour.
I have added a bit more to my answer above if it still won't switch on.

The only thing you may find is that the radio 'forgets' the radio stations or you have to unlock the car with the key as the remote central locking won't respond in the morning.
Now would be a good time to check the door locks actually unlock the car.
This quick fix is not ideal, it gets the thing working but you do get some strange things going on like the memory problem.
The solution for the memory and remote central locking would be attaching that long read lead to the car battery as a memory backup, but that it a bit of a job in itself.
Let us know how you get on with it, if everything is ok tomorrow morning, I would think its all going to be fine.
