Hi all.
Newbie to the forum here but in desperate need of some assistance.
I have picked up my brand new C3 today and tried to pair my iPhone 5 via bluetooth and I am failing miserably. I know iPhones are notoriously difficult to pair on certain cars so I kind of figured I would encounter a problem.
The phone can see the bluetooth signal from the car, and vice versa, but I cannot get them to pair. I can get to the stage on the head unit where I enter a code but I never get the option to connect on the iPhone. It fails every time.
Can anyone help me please?
Not sure if it's an iPhone issue to be honest but thought I'd ask here first.
Thank you in advance.
Help pairing iPhone 5 with brand new C3

Hi chesterflaps, welcome to the C3 forum.
Can you list the steps you take to get them to pair, so I can see the way you are doing it.
There will be iphone5 setting and stereo settings to list.
Do you know which stereo you have fitted to your C3, a photo would help identify it.

Hi Arfur Dent.
I'm not sure what model number it is as it does not say. All I can say is it's the one on the attached picture.
These are the steps I have tried.
All of the below has been tried with the engine running, and the engine off but ignition on.
1)turn bluetooth on, on the iPhone.
2)press Menu
3)select "bluetooth telephone function - Audio"
4)select "bluetooth configuration"
5)select "perform bluetooth search"
6)the name of my phone then appears on the car's screen, so I select it.
7)I then have to input a code on the car stereo at least 4 digits long. I enter "0000" and press "ok"
8)the car states it is trying to pair with my phone.
9)after about 30 seconds, my phone displays that the connection with "BT_Radio" failed. It displays this twice.
10)the car screen the tells me pairing has failed.
I have also tried activating BT on the phone and then it finds the car BT. Then selecting on the phone to start pairing. This fails.
I have also tried to do this whilst the car is trying to pair. It fails.
At no point do I get an option on the iPhone to select a code.
I have had cars in the past which have BT so I know how to do it. Added to that, I like to think I'm tech savvy as it's kind of my job to be, so the fact I cannot get this to pair is annoying to say the least.
Personally I think it's an issue with the iPhone as Apple are so paranoid, they do not put normal bluetooth on their devices. It's very restrictive, like all Apple products.

I have found the problem.
Surprise surprise it's an Apple issue. My girlfriend has the same phone but on the IOS 6.0. Mine is on IOS 6.1.2.
If I could swear on here I would. So instead I will say flipping Apple are flipping poo

Thanks for the update!
Citroen suggest you pair with the ignition 'on' but the engine not running, something about discoursing people from trying to pair while driving.
The other suggestion from Citroen is to pair in the first way you tried;
