Greetings,
need some help with lexia/diagbox on C3 2018.

Installed an aftermarket amplifier and need to change the speaker leads to pre-out or regular amp mode (I think that it's configured to "arkamys" by default) - it should be done on the smeg ecu, by the thousands threads I've read...

How do I connect to it with Diagbox?
I got confused with all the versions and upgrades - cloned versions, activated versions etc.

Is there other methods to change this setting?

Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you,
Benny

Hi Bennyd

I wasn't aware that the SMEG units had the ability to switch speaker output to pre-out under software.

Hi C3driver52,

Not confirmd its working, read somewhere that it can be done. Option for flat sound through the oem unit will be good too.

My installed sound system sounds really bad (alpine v90, 2 sets of alpine components speakets, sub and audiocontrol l7c, connected through oem speakers hi leads.

Just want my sound system sound decent....

Thanks,
Benny

You will probably have to start off by looking for the version of the SMEG head unit you have and start there.

Its been said that later models are locked and there is no access to the settings by diagbox but on early models there is.

This would make sense and you may need to go back to the dealer to set output 'Arkamys' to 'flat' or whatever its called if a code is needed.

You won't do any harm digging around through the Diagbox options while its connected to the car and you will see if it can connect to the SMEG unit or if it asks for a code before you can proceed.

As you say, setting the arkamys enhancement off will give your extra equipment the best chance to make good sound.

Should be.

Try ARKBYP in the SMEG secret menu for cheat codes, try holding down menu for 10 seconds or

See Engineering Menu mode on New C3
You can add an avatar to your account - Avatar or change your vehicle details - Car Bio or even add a signature to your posts - Signature. But this is not all you can do in the User Control Panel :)

Ive tried all cheat codes with no success.
I suspect newer models come with continental nac instaed of smeg which explain why the codes are not working.

Any help with this will be much appreciated,
Benny

You may need to fully identify the part fitted including any firmware version as this can affect functions too.
