Hi, I've recently got a C3 as my 1st car (I'm 17 and still learning to drive) but it has absolutely no sound system in, no speakers or anything! Just wondering how easy it is to fit it and roughly how much?

Thanks :D

Hi, that is an unusual C3 you have.

Did you remove the door cards - using this guide to remove the door cards on a C3 to see if there is any wiring in there.

Would you also post a picture of the dashboard, centre, where the radio should be please, this will help later. Attach images using the forum using the form below when replying.

If the wiring is present, its can be quite cheap to very expensive to fit speakers and a stereo depending on how much you spend on parts and if you do it yourself the labour cost is free.

These are some suggested front speakers for a C3 here on Amazon.co.uk to give you an idea
and these are some rear speakers for the C3 doors.

Head units come in many configurations and a picture of your dashboard and some information on what speakers, budget and requirements are and some suggestions can be made for you :)

Hey thanks for replying

I've not checked the doors but I'm pretty sure there's no wiring!

I'm on a pretty tight budget so the cheapest option would be best
Both of the slots are empty

I've added a pic of the dash, that's jut a phone in one of the slots by the way. :)

I would definitely check the doors. The C3 can have quite a bit of redundant wiring for feature that were not included on that model. It will save you a lot of time (and therefore money) if you have to pay someone to run the wiring in for the door speakers, its a long job compared with connecting up some new speakers.

Thanks, a double cubby. I have never seen that before. You can remove the phone and pull quite hard on the plastic cubby that the phone is in and then you can also remove the lower one. This will give you access to the radio connector in the back. You should look for this and also add a picture of it.

If you don't have this connector, its probably going to sink your budget if you need to pay someone to put all the wires in.

Any of the stereos in this link (to ebay) even the big 'double din' ones that fit it when both cubbies are removed. Pick one that fits your budget and if you need an adaptor, this will be evident when you find the wiring and attach a photo :)
