Hi,
I'm just about to purchase the Pioneer TS-E1702i speakers for my front doors and I'm paying to have them fitted as I'm not confident fitting them myself. I've got two questions - firstly do I need any adapters or anything for these speakers? Secondly, I'm also wondering of there are any other speakers that are possibly newer/better that will fit in the front door with no problems?
Thanks!

I fitted these speakers to my C3.
You need to cut off the Citroen speaker connector and fit crimp on spade terminals as I could not find an adaptor anywhere.
Mounting the speakers is really easy, that is after you have removed the originals that are riveted into the doors.
The speakers get held in with clips that slide over the original holes, only the front grills have to be removed to fit the front speakers.
To change the rear door speakers you need to remove the whole door trim.

Thanks for your reply. I still can't decide whether to just go for these speakers or go for ones that have tweeters included. My speakers are sounding a bit crackly at times but I'm not sure if it's the door speakers or the dashboard tweeters....or both.

I would say its the door speaker that are cracking. The door speakers get the most wear and tear, where are the tweeters seem to me to be quite bullet proof.emma_c3 wrote:Thanks for your reply. The 2 tweets on the 6 speaker Citroen C3 are up on the dashboard, where as the other 4 are on the doors. It should be quite easy to put your ear near each speaker on the doors to hear which one crackles.

Could I add to this, If you have the dash mounted Tweeters, fit door speakers without separate Tweeters, otherwise things get rather bright and not very pleasant with two sets of tweeters running in the front.
I must say that fitting the Pioneer speakers mentioned above does make a considerable difference to the sound quality of the standard head unit.
As for fitting anything else the speaker mounting depth is crucial as it has to clear the passage of the window glass.
On the 2005 to 2009 C3 there is no easy way to upgrade the head unit, on most cars several body functions are routed through the radio and
also the on board fault diagnosis is displayed through the radio.
