Hi all,
Hope someone can help.
I am locked out of my citron C3, after installing a new stereo a couple of days ago. Was able to lock car after but unable to unlock ever since. Guessing stereo is wired differently despite fitting perfectly with car sockets. It had power even with ignition off. Managed to get bonnet open, Recharged battery & even use jump leads but neither of my two keys will work. Manual key hole has never worked. Guessing battery drained due to new stereo & somehow reset key fob or has gone into sleep mode? Either way, I can't get into the car to reset key fobs & sort out stereo wiring. Am I screwed?

You installed the radio incorrectlyMandles wrote:I am locked out of my citron C3, after installing a new stereo a couple of days ago. Was able to lock car after but unable to unlock ever since.

power pins 4 and 7 are transposed on the C3 and don't follow the ISO plug standard.
Good startMandles wrote:Managed to get bonnet open,

Pretty much, yes. You will have to break a window or bend the door frame back and slip someone small in there. The procedure to reset the keys is unlock manually and insert key in the ignition. You can then follow the C3 key re-sync procedure (here). But if your manual unlock doesn't work, how do you open the door?Mandles wrote:Manual key hole has never worked..... With the bonnet open, disconnect the battery for 30s then reconnect it.
C/L will then allow you to open the door.
Remove the radio and fix the wiring or it will happen every time the BSI sleeps.
