I have just got a C3 1.4lx and before I got it I knew that the factory fit 5 disc cd player (BLAUPUNKT IDC-A09) wasn't working. Going to be using iPod for music so I am not worried about the CD not working.

I don't want to take the CD unit out and leave a hole, so I was wondering if I just disconnected it would it cause a problem with the rest of the sound system? I want to do this as the flashing lights behind the disc selection buttons are doing my head in.

Hi tonentrace,

I don't foresee any issues in just unplugging the multi-changer.

Some C3s that don't have the mutli-changer have one of these:

Citroen C3 drawer in place of cubby or multichanger
Citroen C3 drawer in place of cubby or multichanger

Others have a cubby hole on place of the drawer.

Thank you C3CAR, I like the look of the dash draw, will have to look at getting one. I did think disconnecting the CD wouldn't be a problem but wasn't 100% sure.
