Hello

Just got a Citroen C3 2011 model and im thinking about getting a new stereo (hoping this will make the audio quality better) or maybe a pair of front speakers.

If i change the stock stereo to an aftermarket stereo will the control buttons, aux, usb, bluetooth etc still work? Would it take some extra wiring during the installation for these things to work?

Regards

Hi jakeld

I would go for the speakers first and see how you like the sound upgrade. Its easier and less problematic to do the speakers than the head unit.

There are several configurations of factory head unit in the 2011 C3, so be aware of this. There are adaptors that can integrate the factory controls with an aftermarket stereo, have a look at this link from amazon to get an idea on what is available. The link is to a patch lead to link later (CAN) C3 controls to a compatible Sony head unit. Bluetooth is normally a function of the headunit, so you will need to look into a bluetooth compatible aftermarket headunit to continue to use BT.

The front speakers need to be slim to miss the window on most models of the C3 and pioneer make a range designed to fit the slightly restrictive space available. The pioneer TS-Q171C (ebay link) look like they will fit and have the tweeter separate that will upgrade the factory tweeter on the 6 speaker systems and possibly upgrade any 4 speaker systems.
