I have a 2009 c3 with the stock radio.
I am considering upgrading to an aftermarket stereo to use android auto but have a couple of questions that I can't seem to answer (or have found answers to but remain confused).
1. If I change the radio, will I still be able to control the information on the small screens? For example, time, mpg etc. I don't think this information can be controlled from the stalk.
2. Is it possible to remove the cubby hole underneath the stereo to install a double din radio?
I have attached some pictures to show the model I have. These are not my photos.

it can be easier to remove the cubby after you have removed the stereo from above.

Yes and No.1. If I change the radio, will I still be able to control the information on the small screens? For example, time, mpg etc. I don't think this information can be controlled from the stalk.
The screen directly in front of the driver isn't affected by the stereo.
The screen above the stereo needs the factory radio to alter the setting, but you can get a 'Connects2 (like this)'' style adaptor to convert a compatible aftermarket stereo to also control the screen above the radio (date/time etc)
A Double DIN android-auto compatible stereo, like this JVC KW-M560BT would fit in the space after the cubby and factory radio are removed.
