Hi all

I have a 07 1.1 C3, with the standard CD player installed.

I *think* one of my front speakers has stopped working, so I was thinking about potentially upgrading the speakers in the car.

Is it worth it with a standard head unit?

Any advice would be great.
Thanks

Hi
The factory speakers were quite good quality, but they do wear out.

You may not be able to find a matched replacement and a aftermarket pair would be the best way forward, anyway.

Some information about the C3 door speakers in Front and Rear Speaker Sizes - fitting aftermarket topic may help, the fronts are slim version.

Hmmmm

If you don't want to cut the OEM plug off the loom in the door, you can get adapters from the connector in the loom to the spade connectors on the after market speaker.

If you look up Peugeot/Citroen speaker adaptor on Ebay you will be confronted by a number of different types. Take a good look at the shape of this connector. That's what you are looking for.

Thanks both, I've had a good read through of the other thread.

Can someone tell me, I have sound at the front door cards, as well as the dash tweeters, does this in theory mean, I should have rear speakers too?

There is no sound from the rear, but what looks like sound holes in the rear door cards?
Thanks

To my knowledge all trim levels have the six speaker system but I could be wrong.

If your car is second hand it's impossible to predict what the previous owners have done to the car.

My only piece of advice is to remove the door cards and see if the speakers are still there.

The hardest part of removing the door cards is removing the door handle. There are clips on the back side of the handle to remove the outer part of the handle. The clips are VERY VERY VERY brittle and break when you attempt to pry them open!! So take it easy.
