Hi, I am a new user and signed up as I need a little help fitting a car stereo on a 2003 Citroen C3 please.

I have a JVC KD R861BT stereo I want to fit to the C3.

Here are photos of my C3’s Clarion rear and original wiring harness for the car.

I had previously successfully installed same JVC in a Nissan Almera using this ISO wiring adapter. Simple plug and play. Everything worked. No issues.

Here are some photos of the wiring harness I have just now.

The problem is that I tried the Nissan harness in the C3 and it worked fine apart from the on/off with ignition turn and the steering wheel stalk didn't function.

I am not good at the re-wiring side due to colour vision problem so I was wondering if a plug and play solution could be bought to plug into the C3 wiring sockets and then into the JVC ISO port that would solve this issue.

What am I missing to make the on/off & steering wheel stalk work with my setup?

Im thinking i need this setup:

Existing C3 Plugs ----> CTSCT002 Adapter ---->Existing Wiring Harness with ISO ----> JVC Unit

I am assuming the the existing wiring harness I have will work when the Connects2 adapter is connected (I suspect I may be wrong in this though.)

I would appreciate any advice you guys have on here. Finally, any links or advice on the CTSCT002 in terms of buying it?

Thanks in advance.

You have probably come up against the ISO power plug problem where the C3 differs from ISO spec. You can try swapping ISO power plug lead 4 and 7 over (possibly red and yellow on your harness?) if that works, then its done.

If it works but the radio powers off itself while you are using it, then you need to run a new lead to a 12v source (like the cigarette power socket) to power the radio.
