Hi all,
I have recently got a Pioneer DEH 4500BT from an old Vauxhall Astra MK3.
Could anyone advise on the correct wire configuration to get the most out of this stereo.
Any help much appreciated

If you swap the wires on 4 and 7 of the ISO power plug (probably the red and yellows) you can get the thing to power up and keep radio stations.
If, after the swap it won't stay powered up, particularly on high volumes, you will need to break the pin 4 wire and make it a live with ignition supply, like the cigarette lighter socket.
You also have a 'connects 2' box and this may not be compatible with the C3, there are specific connects 2 boxes for the C3.

Swapping the pins dosen't seam to give any better results. I want the stereo to turn on and off with the car. Looks like the connection for this is diverted to the connect2 box.
Only just started tinkering with this kind of work and unsure and don't want to destroy my unit

The connections also go to the BSI, so any wrong moves can take out the BSI (smoke) and then you have a non functioning and expensive to repair C3.
You may be better off getting someone else to do it.

Can't say for sure if it would fit but it would be my best guess.

"""EDIT""" it is important that you pick the right one according to the fuse.
So if your sockets fuse is in left side make sure lead is also left side.
Sorry for the terrible English I am from Denmark.
