I recently bought a 2002 C3 1.4 sx. the cd works fine but when i try to use the radio it just constantly seeks and shows DX. i have checked that the Arial is connected in the back of the unit.
if i go on AM it crackles a bit then goes dead and seeks again.
FM is totally dead and just seeks and shows DX
i am new to Citroen so i would appreciate any help or advice before i shell out for a new unit
thanks

Your problem could be caused by a faulty aerial amplifier. I think there is a power feed to the amplifier from the radio on PIN5 of the ISO power plug. I am not sure where the amplifier is, but it could well be part of the aerial base on the roof. Are your fuses ok? F4, F15 and the one on the back of the stereo?

You could, just as easily have a faulty radio.

Can you 'borrow' a car stereo, to try it in your car? Something from around 2002, with ISO connectors would work as a test.
