wont start unless i press acelerator

hi everyone new to this so apologies first
Ive recently bought a Citroen c3 petrol sometimes its starts straight away but after along drive it wont start again until i press accelerator Ive always had vauxhall so haven't got a clue my way round a c3 thanks for help mark :D :D :D :D :D

The C3 petrol 1.4 is ECU engine controlled with an electronic accelerator pedal. I am surprised the C3 takes and input from the pedal while starting.
