My 2006 model C3 1.6 (petrol) has developed an idling problem and either cuts out or the revs jump between about 600 and 1,200 rpm. I've checked for vacuum leaks in and around the manifold and all seems o.k. I'm starting to suspect the throttle body unit but it looks like a sealed unit so I can't clean it out. It also displays a message "anti-pollution faulty" - not sure if this is related.
Can anyone assist?

Read the codes with a cheap OBD2 Reader from eBay or a more professional Lexia/Diagbox and diagnose the 'Anti-polloution fault' and pick up any other engine codes while you are there. I wouldn't be surprised that the engine fault and the message is linked.
