I have a 2004 c3 desire 1.1 petrol, when the car is idle every 3 to 5 minutes the car judders, also when it is running it sounds really bad, I have changed the oil and filter found no sign of any of the engine breaking and being sucked in to the oil, I am changing the clutch plate next month to see if that makes any difference other than that can any one help? , also had a obd on it and it hasn't said anything was at fault and all fuses are okay. Cheers joe

Hi jmitchell91
Probably plugs, coilpack, airfilter, those sort of things, a full service.jmitchell91 wrote:I have a 2004 c3 desire 1.1 petrol, when the car is idle every 3 to 5 minutes the car judders,
What does 'bad' sound like? can you record it and upload to youtube?jmitchell91 wrote:also when it is running it sounds really bad,
That's encouraging, but I don't think changing the oil is going to help much.jmitchell91 wrote:I have changed the oil and filter found no sign of any of the engine breaking and being sucked in to the oil
That is pretty drastic. I wouldn't change a clutch unless there is a fault with it (usually slipping). I don't see any connection between a poor idle, noisy engine and a clutch. How did you come to that conclusion?jmitchell91 wrote:I am changing the clutch plate next month to see if that makes any difference
I don't see what fuses have to do with the engine running? I a real problem to check ALL the fuses, I wouldn't bother unless you have an electriccal fault. OBD2 is useful for finding faults, I would try a different OBD reader because I have never seen a car of that age that didn't have at least one code stored and with the poor idle and running, I would expect multiple codes.jmitchell91 wrote:also had a obd on it and it hasn't said anything was at fault and all fuses are okay.
